Kauna grass is traditionally cultivated in the wetlands of Manipur before being harvested, dried and woven by local artisans. Small differences between pieces reflect the natural material and handmade process.

How to Use

Keep a live plant inside a separate waterproof nursery or decorative pot before placing it inside Sanlei.

Use an inner tray or protective waterproof liner to prevent water and damp soil from touching the Kauna grass. Remove the inner pot before watering whenever possible and allow excess water to drain completely before returning it to the basket.

Care Instructions

Remove dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or brush. For small marks, wipe carefully with a slightly damp cloth and allow the planter to air-dry completely.

Do not soak, rinse or wash under running water. Protect the planter from direct rain, damp soil, standing water and prolonged moisture. Store in a dry and well-ventilated area.

Every Sanlei planter is individually handwoven from natural Kauna grass. Slight differences in colour, texture, weave, shape and dimensions are natural characteristics of handmade products and are not considered defects.
